Rolls-Royce: Mental health foundations for everyone eLearning
Rolls-Royce wanted to build strong mental health foundations across the organisation by giving every employee the confidence, language, and tools to support their own mental health and help others.
The challenge
Mental health is often misunderstood and talked about only in crisis terms. Rolls-Royce wanted to shift the narrative: from ‘mental health equals poor health’ to ‘mental health is something we all have and can strengthen’. The goal was to give every colleague a clear understanding of what mental health means, why it matters, and how simple everyday actions can help people thrive.
The outcome
Once launched, we’ll check in with Rolls-Royce to review LMS insights and user feedback. This will guide future learning and help ensure mental health stays firmly embedded in the Rolls-Royce HSE experience.
Our solution
We created a short, engaging digital learning experience paired with an animation that introduced the Mental Health Continuum. The animation set the tone, showing that everyone has mental health and it’s normal for it to fluctuate day-to-day.
The 20-minute learning was designed in bite-sized modules with a warm, relatable storytelling style. It helps colleagues reflect on their own mental health, recognise early signs in themselves and others, and feel equipped to take positive action. The result was an introduction to mental health that feels human, unique, and empowering.
