The challenge
ABB Process Automation wanted to bring a strong and consistent approach to risk assessments in their operations around the world. Rather than take a traditional training approach we worked with them to create an engaging and interactive learning solution.

Our solution
We created a fictional version of a typical ABB workplace and scenario and developed a game board based conversation tool that enabled colleagues to explore each step in the risk assessment process. The game involved team activities around breaking down the work into tasks and activities, identifying hazards, ranking risks and choosing the most effective controls.

The outcome
Increased understanding of what does and does not contribute to an effective risk assessment.
